Shan is written in Myanmar script, and that is where the trouble starts. The keyboard on the machine in front of you almost certainly does not have a Shan layout, and the one you install still leaves you guessing which key carries ႁ or ႉ. LikDai puts that in the browser. Open it, type, copy the result into wherever it was going — a message, a document, a form that was never built with Shan in mind. It exists because tooling for Shan is thin. Burmese has input methods, dictionaries and autocorrect; Shan mostly has whatever someone built themselves. This is one of those.
